Self-moving tail

To improve coal mining speed, reduce manpower, and increase efficiency, and to solve the dilemma of imbalance between mining and excavation, the bottleneck lies in excavation and transportation. As the mechanization level of excavation continues to improve, the transportation method has changed from traditional mine car transportation to continuous transportation using belt conveyors. The belt conveyor used for excavation needs to extend continuously with the excavator. Most of the extension belt conveyors currently used by excavators use the self-weight of the excavator and the counteracting force of the frictional resistance with the ground to overcome the internal tension of the belt conveyor operation. When the belt conveyor extends with the excavator, it needs to be moved by a winch or other manual traction device. The offset adjustment during the movement also requires manual adjustment, resulting in very low preparation efficiency. Moreover, since the recoil force comes from the excavator, the dynamics of the excavator during operation also have a significant impact on the operation of the belt conveyor. This self-moving tail, also known as a stepping self-moving tail, is a coal safety certification product.

The self-moving tail for belt conveyors (hereinafter referred to as the self-moving tail) is a newly developed product of Shanxi Dongchang Industrial Co., Ltd. It is an auxiliary device for underground coal mine transportation equipment. The main structure consists of an intermediate frame, a track, a walking trolley, a pushing component and buffer bed, a roller component, a slide, a hydraulic pump station, an electro-hydraulic control valve group, a hydraulic control pipeline, a PLC control box, remote control operation, and an auxiliary crane, etc. The main walking supports are installed on both sides of the frame, the vertical column cylinders are inside the walking supports, and the horizontal cylinders are connected to the slide. The pushing component is connected to the frame and the track respectively through the ear shaft by the pushing cylinder. The intermediate frame is a split assembly type, and the joint is an ear shaft pin connection, which is an active joint to adapt to the undulation of the underground ground. When moving, the connection point between the pushing component and the lower part of the intermediate frame is used as the fulcrum, the vertical column cylinder group is used as the support, and the pushing cylinder group is used for telescopic pulling to move the whole machine forward. A single self-moving stroke can reach 1.2 meters (0-1.2 meters is determined during design). The vertical column cylinder group can adjust the height of the whole machine, and the horizontal cylinder can adjust the left and right position of the whole machine. By adopting the above structure, the tail of the belt conveyor can be quickly and reliably adjusted and pushed during excavation and pushing, thereby improving production efficiency.

The stepping self-moving tail is step-by-step movement, can move by itself and hydraulically adjust the deviation, can move forward and backward, has its own hydraulic pump station, has a long body, can overcome a certain belt running tension, does not need ground anchor chains or the dragging force of a transfer machine, has a compact structure, and has two control methods: manual and remote control, which are selected by the user when ordering. By operating the valve, the auxiliary support moves with the tail, the whole device operates independently, avoiding belt deviation caused by movement with the excavator; hydraulic drive is used, with great force, safety, and stability.

Usage environment and conditions of the self-moving tail:

1) Ambient temperature -20～45℃.

2) Ambient air relative humidity is not more than 95% (+25℃).

3) Atmospheric pressure is 80-120kpa.

4) Used in mines with biogas explosive mixtures and no insulation-damaging gases and vapors.

5) The hydraulic station needs to be placed in a place without significant shaking and impact vibration, with drip prevention, and level.

6) Installation inclination is not more than 15°.
