Chairman of Shanxi Dongchang Industrial Co., Ltd. leads a fact-finding trip to four Central Asian countries along the Belt and Road

Marking the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, and in response to the national call, With the strong support of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, the chairman of Shanxi Dongchang Industrial Co., Ltd, on July 24-August 3, 2023, with Belt Conveyor Association (hereinafter referred to as "Belt Association") President Li Ping, a total of fourteen member Belt Association member units joined hands in visiting four Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan). This investigation focused on the demand for bulk material conveying equipment in Central Asia and was welcomed by the Ministries of Mining, Investment, and Commerce, as well as large mining companies in the four Central Asian countries!
The first stop, Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan
Recommended by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, on July 25, at the Sheraton Hotel in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, Meirzhan Yusupov, President of the Kazakhstan National Investment Group; Ruslan Ibragimov, Vice President; Rakhimbayev Albat, Deputy Director of the Project Bureau; Askeri Suankulova, Deputy Director of the Investment and Marketing Bureau; Azamat Panbayev, Chairman of the Industrial Development Committee; Akhmetov Azamat, Director of the Electrical Technology and Heavy Machinery Manufacturing Bureau of the Industrial Development Committee; and Yerlan Galiyev, Chairman of the "National Geological Service Agency" JSC, met with representatives from the fourteen member units of the Belt Association. During the meeting, the Kazakh side introduced the country's mineral resources and favorable investment policies, and expressed a warm welcome to Belt Association members' visits and investments in Kazakhstan. President Li Ping delivered a speech, promoting belt conveyor equipment and expressing investment intentions. Both sides engaged in pleasant communication and discussions, laying a solid foundation for further cooperation in the future.
The second stop, Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan
Belt Association representatives arrived in Tashkent at midnight on July 27, 2023. At the office building of the Uzbekistan China Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, both sides held pleasant talks. President Li Ping of the Belt Association introduced the equipment supply and investment intentions of this trip. President Liu Yu of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan led his team to introduce the situation of Uzbekistan's mining industry, policies, the current status of conveying equipment, the prospects for future cooperation, and introduced representatives of companies in logistics, customs clearance, law, and agency in Uzbekistan, which will facilitate future cooperation. The meeting provided indispensable support for Belt Association members entering the Uzbek market.
The third stop, Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan
On July 29, with the assistance of two directors from the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Tajikistan, Deputy Minister of Industry NAZAR AZIZ SAVZALI, leading a team and representatives from eleven large mining groups, held talks with representatives of Belt Association members. The meeting was divided into two stages. In the first stage, the Tajikistani Ministry of Industry team introduced the country's mining situation, and the Chinese side explained the main purpose of the visit. In the second stage, representatives of Tajikistani mining groups and representatives of Chinese Belt Association members conducted detailed needs matching. This meeting elevated the Belt Association's Central Asian trip to new heights. President Li of the Belt Association promoted belt conveyor equipment and systems, and conducted detailed discussions with various demand units regarding their needs and conveying issues. The Tajikistani companies needing belt conveyors detailed their mining situations and equipment needs. The talks were highly productive, and both parties were very pleased and satisfied!
The fourth stop, Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan
On August 1, former Prime Minister Temir Sariyev of Kyrgyzstan, leading representatives from seventeen large Kyrgyz mining groups, warmly received the Belt Association team. The Kyrgyz side made very meticulous arrangements for the meeting between the two sides. Representatives from seventeen mining groups enthusiastically communicated equipment needs with Belt Association units according to their needs. The enthusiasm of the meeting continued to rise, bringing confidence to industry representatives and bringing our Central Asian trip to a successful conclusion.
